A whopping two thirds of aspiring buyers in France surveyed last year told us they were interested in a house or cottage in the French countryside.

And why wouldn’t you? The French countryside is absolutely beautiful.

Typically, rural France means ‘south of the Loire’, but while many like the idea of country life, they don’t want to be isolated or completely remote. However, if you are interested in remote towns and villages, let us know. I’m sure we could whip something up on remote France.

For those dabbling with the idea of buying in the French countryside, here are 10 properties on the market right now for you to browse, enquire about or just be inspired by.
